Have looked everywhere for them – everyone is sold out or some bloody odd sizes like 203 rear. Anyone know anywhere with them still in stock?

I’m looking to replace Juicy7’s – can I buy the odd sizes and just swop them over?

SFAIK the actual calipers are identical (check the Avid spare parts catalogue to confirm) – so assuming the Juicy post mounts are compatible , you should be OK.

You can buy a nearly new rear one off me (160mm)?

    Finbar – sounds good.

    Mail s9352637@yahoo.com with a price.

I’m English living in ireland atm, so would either be a cheque or bank transfer (from an english bank) and postage to my parents place in manchester. My CC just expired and until i get back to my parents i can’t pick up the replacement for paypal (Must see if I can put my visa debit card on there). If your not happy with any of the above I’ll understand.

the calipers are the same front and rear, so you should be able to keep your original rotors and mounts on the bike and just swap the juicy calipers for the BB7s.

Just out of interest why are you swapping? I’ve got BB7s at the moment and was thinking about replacing them with juicys when they die (IF they die!). Don’t you like the juicys?

I like the fact I can set up the BB7’s without having to think. I’m a numpty when it comes to brake fluid and the like and even replacing the pads I manage to bugger up somehow on the juicys.

Not had a bother with my other bb7’s in 6 years, impressive stopping power, no worries about modulation and you can adjust the brakes on the fly for the local conditions.

are you getting more power with the juicys?

Hard to quantify if I’m honest as both can lock the front wheel up without too much bother (2.35 HR super tacky or 2.35 IRC mudmads), there is no benefit in me having the Juicy’s over the BB7s.

    BB7’s currently on a Inbred with 203 front, 160 rear – 125mm travel forks.

    Juicy’s on blur with 203 front, 160 rear – 150mm forks.

And I have had both bikes with both 203 front and rear.

Oh, I’m 16 stone too, I’m not a race whippet.
