Hello all!! Due to one thing and another, I am considering selling my Whyte E5 to get something a little more gravity orientated.

It is a 2007 Whyte E5 XT. Bought new in September 2007, and used since then. It had six months off through my injury.

Has had fox shock mojo’d. Maverick front forks serviced at Chevin. Recently had all new cassette and chainset rings. It has been very loved and cleaned after every ride, and kept polished.

    Quick spec:
Easton carbon bars and seat post
    Hope Mono Minis
    XT throughout
    Conti Mountain Kings
    Maverick Front Hub
Hope Rear Hub (not pro 2)
    Mavic rims
    Fizik Gobi Saddle
    Shimano XT (2008) SPD’s.

SO what do you guys think? I will pop some pictures up but it really is in mint condition. Loved bike just not ideal for what I am looking to do with it.

    Cheers

I wouldnt – my LBS says the W in Whyte stands for warranty..But a great looking bike to be sure.

Best bet is to have a search through the web (ebay etc. second hand prices), see what they are currently selling them at in the sales. I’d say start the ball rolling around just under half the original price paid.
Always worth getting all receipts/manuals/service notes etc together to sell as the package.

    Good luck with the sale…

Cheers, that would put it at £1350, which I would be pretty pleased with really.

    Thanks for your input!

Sounds a tidy and well equipped bike however it is certainly not the best time to sell when the market is depressed. People have been accepting low prices on here and good bikes/frames seeming to stick and not sell until the price is lowered to basement level. I know I am not answering your question but as it has suited your needs for the past year, I would be inclined to delay your planned change until the market picks up.

ATB sales were selling their demo ones for around £1350 price last year.

As for warranty I had a PRST1 and 46 which never had any problems. I did get a crack on my E5 but ATB replaced the front no problem. Mate got a small hole in E120 swing arm. Once again replaced it no problems. Very good back upservice.

Having sold literally hundreds of 46’s and E5’s over the past 2 years ive got to say we see very little back on them warrenty wise. The odd issue we do get is sorted out very quickly with no fuss what-so-ever. Even the lifetime bearing warranty only gets called upon a couple of times a year.

Price wise depends on the size to some extent, weve got the same bike new fairly cheap, but thats only because we have smalls left (which are nowhere near as saleable as a med/large).

Ah yes size! It is a Medium. Having said that, I am 6 foot 2, and strangely it is a good fit – equallymuch smaller people have gotten on it and been very comfy. A lot of my height is in my legs!

Thanks for your replies, any ideas on rough ball park V10? Would you guys consider selling it?!!! (If you don’t ask you’ll never get 🙂 )
