i’ll try this one as well while i’m here. Bottom of the garden by Andy Gines[/url], on Flickr
Little project from the summer. Stables were already there but Mrs F wanted a turnout yard. foundations dug, 20t of concrete and a new fence later and bobs your mothers!
Bedside lamp made from a Jack stand found whilst clearing out my great uncles garage. First time doing anything like that, pretty pleased with the outcome!
As ever awesome skills shown on here. All I’ve done is finished my portfolio for this year. I bet most of the projects above were done in less time than my procrastinations…
@eddiebaby How on earth do you land that glider again ?
I’m stunned at how fast that thing is :o)
That is slow compared with Dynamic Soaring gliders. They are pushing continuous laps at just under 500mph.
Landing isn’t too bad. Flaps to slow it down to a reasonable speed and then you are landing into a strong wind that knocks more off the ground speed. It is a bit fraught though.
Made a house number for my mum who’s just moved. I thought about buying her one of those classic art deco white-on-blue enamel signs you see all over France, but thought it might look a bit out of place in Halifax! So I went for the same typeface, but cut out of 4mm steel plate and stuck to a bit of old roofing slate. It looks a bit too modern at the moment but the hope is it’ll rust evenly and contrast a bit better with the slate.
Keys & (lightweight) coats hanger. Another small basic project for me. I do sometimes wonder why I don’t go out and buy something ready made but I just keep buying pieces of wood for project ideas that may or may not get made instead. Liking those cupboards Kayak23, very nice.
My new workbench in preparation for building new kitchen cabinet doors. It’s not finished yet but is well on the way, I’m also going to set a router in it at the other end to the table saw.
After using the saw for a bit tonight I’m seriously going to have to sort out some dust control!
