There are some £8-95 Parkers jobbies on ebay which look ok?

Otherwise have heard the ice toolz ones at circa £16 squid arent bad.

Anyone had any good experiences with the cheaper cutters?

    Thanks

I’ve got some bikehut ones which are the same as the old cyclo ones. They have been just fine, and have a nice fold-out pointy thing for opening out the wire bits when you cut your outers. Should be able to sharpen them with a cone/pointy shaped dremel grinding bit too.

z1ppy – do you want to provide a link, or are you making that up?

Maplin’s used to do wire-rope cutters for £7.99, which were pretty much the same as Pedros cable cutters (I bought some for my brother and they worked well). They don’t do them anymore, so I’d be interested to know if anyone’s found something similar.

(Edit) just checked the Parkers ones on Ebay and they are the same. Get them, they’ll be fine.
