Weekly photo challenge. 14.1.13 – 20.1.13 – Bridges

We’ve done this before, over a year ago.
For those who don’t remember it, the idea is that you take a photo of your bike with something that matches the current theme in the picture.
So, this week, we want a picture of your bike on, under or near a bridge.
Prop your bike against the bridge and take the picture yourself, or get someone to take a photo of you riding over a bridge, it doesn’t matter which.

It’s a simple enough idea, but one that some people seemed to struggle with last time. You know who you are. 👿
Just to make it clear, the idea is that you go out and take the photo this week, not to post one from your My Photos folder taken last year.

OK then. You’ve got till Sunday to find a bridge and post the picture here.

The rules;
1. Take a photo of your bike with something that matches the theme in the picture.
2. Interpret the theme any way you like.
3. Pictures should be taken between the dates in the topic title.
4. If you post a picture you can either suggest a theme for next weeks challenge or vote for someone else’s suggestion. First suggestion to get two supporting votes becomes next weeks theme, probably

Overnight commute last night.
Footbridge over a tributary along the side of the Severn near Bewdley.

You’ve got the “Bridge” part right.
I’m not so sure about the “You” and “This week” parts though.

This bridge is just off the A701 Dumfries to Moffat road just out of Locharbriggs and the junction to Tinwald. Being sited where it is it has seen it`s fair share of incidents and accidents 🙄
The main road from here to Amisfield is just a tad dangerous to cycle on, this minor road is one of the safer options.

I’ve done this bridge before, pipeline over the Severn carrying water from the Elan Valley to Birmingham, but I thought it was cool the way the snow had settled on the mesh fencing.

Three suggestions for next week then, water, art or moon.
First one with a second vote gets it.
