Hi, does anyone have real world experience of one of these. It's the gravel model with Rockshox forks and dropper post. I have a chance to purchase one and I'm very tempted. It just looks like a fun bike to ride. Would appreciate any user reviews.

I can't comment on that particular model but we have had loads of Vitus bikes in our household. They have all been great. Decent geometry and specs at a good price. I currently have a Vitus Energie Evo (CX bike) that I use as a gravel bike.
One bike arrived brand new from Wiggle with a small scratch to the paintwork; they credited me £300. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

i had one of those on my watch list, possibly the fully equipped model.. i also had the carbon bombtrack hook on watch from lyon equipment, but ending up winning an ex display digger
So, yes it would be on my wish list as a gravel bike you could really have some fun on

This one https://www.wiggle.co.uk/vitus-substance-vrs-1-ht-gravel-bike-apex

Looks great. Not sure about the Apex, but I reckon I'd get over it for that price.

I can't comment on that bike... but I have got a full carbon escarpe frame here ready to build up. I'm very impressed with the quality of it.

Had two Vitus bikes myself, and one for the other half. Hardtails and one carbon sommet. All fantastic bikes and would definitely buy another.

I've got a 2019 Substance VR and haven't had any problems with mine.

I changed the bars for some with more flare and rise, but apart from that it's not needed anything.

I've not ridden any other gravel bikes, but it rides how I'd expect a gravel bike to ride - faster and more efficient than my rigid MTB, but strong and compliant enough to ride poor surfaces (but not as comfy). I've got two wheelsets for mine, one 650b with big gravel tyres, and a 700c set with commuter/road tyres. Tyre clearance is limited (on the 2019 model at least) so you can't run big 700c tyres.

Pretty good bike, but I don't really ride it much these days so I should probably sell it.
