Mike Lynch et al missing at sea and his friend killed in a car crash within weeks. Seems like the US are bitter about his acquittal. Maybe HP employing secret agents?

Oh FFS. I was wondering how long it would take for the foil helmet brigade to add 2 and 2 and come up with 5.

Just watched that. His codefendant was killed in a car crash on Saturday too.

I don’t believe in weird conspiracies though.

I think using the weather to create a waterspout powerful enough to snap the mast on a ship that size, capsize her and cause her to sink might be beyond even the Mango Messiah’s fevered imagination – it’s certainly beyond the ability of any government.

If they truly are secret, we’ll never actually know.

Its got conspiracy theory written all over it, hasn’t it? The tin hat brigade will be going bananas.

Looks like the yacht was genuinely sunk by a combo of vicious storm and taking a direct hit from a waterborne tornado. Even the Israelis would struggle to make that one up..

    killed in a car crash

Hit by a car. I have to admit, the timing is odd, but I do believe it is hard to summon Godzilla and arrange an RTA, so likely just weird coincidence. There are frequent (probably weekly)  fatal accidents with cars, motor bikes and bikes on the Cambridgeshire roads.

I see what you’re saying. Yes, we’re likely talking super-powerful dark state powers here… some sort of secret liberal elite. Maybe the UK civil service?

Hit by a car would be all in a days work for secret services. Not sure how a minature storm in Sicily could be arranged.

The US government has spent $750m on a ‘weather monitoring’ system, HAARP, which is rather a lot for a weather station. It’s officially been handed over to a university in Alaska now but the defence department were very interested in it originally, who knows if they still have any involvement.

Have a Google of some of the conspiracy theories around that. I’m not saying they are all true, or indeed that any of them are, but they’re a fun read if you like that sort of stuff, and it does make you think.

Funny was about to post the same thing.

A series of unfortunate events that happened to happen to some people who royally pissed off a big US corporation but got acquitted of wrongdoing… I’ll  put my tin foil hat away now but it does seem a tad coincidental. lol

Why would the US government do that though?

It was HP who he has been found innocent of fraud with, not the US govt?

(not that I think the U.S. govt would or could)

that is what they want the clueless sheeple to think, yes. A “freak” storm would be the ideal cover to detonate a couple of strategically placed explosive charges placed on the yacht, however…

This is the storm running through a cafe at the adjacent harbour.

As you can plainly see, the microburst and incredibly localised storm was the direct result of the Skunk Works Aurora “Black Triangle” UFO briefly disengaging stealth mode and wreaking havoc over a square mile. This tech was only supposed to be used against Soviet China, but now it has leaked to the three letter agencies. Once Harris gets elected, who knows who they will come for next?

Mr Chamberlain died in hospital after the crash on the A1123 at Stretham in Cambridgeshire at about 10:10 BST on Saturday.

The driver of the car, a 49-year-old woman from Haddenham, remained at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.

Shitty beyond belief. That road is nasty for sure, but doesn’t seem like the secret cabals, more like dreadful driver updating facebook status.

If I was in charge of a secret government agency going around sinking super yachts(*) I’d try to do it in water that’s a bit harder to get to so my dirty deeds were harder to uncover.

    * – which I’m not, obviously! (**)

    ** – though that’s exactly what I would say if I was, isn’t it….

Modern super yacht, state of the art navigation and weather forecasting, professional crew taking it into a storm. Won’t be difficult to spin a plausible story around that. Crew compromised, instrumentation interfered with etc etc etc.

Nuts but they’ll be those wanting to believe it

Just like in all the Bond films – they are never parked where you can walk along a pontoon to sink them, you need to get out the Scuba equipment, the jet-tow thing, the harpoons and spear-guns, and hope some sharks are cruising around for extra drama.

Someone with a humungous carbon footprint dies when hit by an increasingly common due to climatic change Med storm. Whilst the other using his feet to walk somewhere carbon free gets taken down by a car. Karma works in strange ways.

A “freak” storm would be the ideal cover to detonate a couple of strategically placed explosive charges placed on the yacht, however…

Aside from it being in shallow enough water it would extremely likely to be discovered.

Plus there is the waiting time for a suitable “freak” storm to turn up. Are the ninjas following them around constantly hoping for some bad weather or have the charges already been place in hope? Either seem somewhat risky.

It is a great example of coincidences which can lead to conspiracy theories. I was wondering how quickly they would emerge and thats before the second death.

Question is why would the US government be arsed since we can safely rule out HP doing it on their own on the grounds that they got the right target. If it was left to them there would be a sunken pedalo in Australia.

You remember those orcas attacking small boats near Gibraltar, last year? They were just training…

You assume they were just waiting for a storm, rather than expecting it. how is weather forecasting done? AI algorithms running on super computers. Good thing there isn’t a company involved here that makes cutting-edge, AI powered super computers. Oh wait… [rubs chin emoji]

If I was putting my tin-foil hat on tho…. it seems the whole team involved in that litigation (except the jogging CFO) were on the yacht (Lawyer, banker) so if you did want to exact revenge – job done. It would have been less obvious if they’d fallen out of windows of course.

you’re dangerously close to the truth here. What actually happens is that all the super yachts are rigged with charges and the ninjas follow the storms waiting for the perfect moment.
