The French dubbed children’s series with lots of sword fighting was the Flashing Blade. Always seemed to be on every summer holiday.
Champion the Wonder Horse. Belle and Sebastian. The Clangers. Mary, Mungo and Midge. Mr Ben Lassie The Virginian.
I think some of those were even in colour.

My generation managed to swerve most of the appalling cheap American cartoons. We had quality stuff like this…..
it was called the old grey whistle test because if the old lad cleaner came in whistling a tune from the night before it wascatchy and therefore a winner

Miss both of these. Timeless really, and could still sit alongside their modern equivalents such as The Simpsons and Futurama I feel.
