What did you think of the mud clearance room at the back wheel? Another publication suggested it’s tight with a 2.4” tyre through it. I’ve got a v2 carbon Sentinel and it got so clogged on the weekend (mini enduro race – which admittedly was gopping) that at one point the rear wheel locked going downhill.

Really nice set of updates. As a v2 owner I’m interested in the storage, the mx capability and the ability to route my rear brake hose neatly into the right hand side of the head tube.

I’ve been running my Sentinel at 165mm travel with a cascade link and on balance I wonder if what I really want next is a next gen Spire with all these same features that I can build up slightly light with my current 36 fork and other parts from the my Sentinel.

Any word on UK pricing, particularly for frame only options? I’m assuming the same as the outgoing model which IIRC was a staggering £3,999 for the frame only.

Looks like Start Fitness have the outgoing carbon frame for £2,099 which feels like a bargain plus it’s available in loam gold, in my biased opinion the best colour!
