Not having a tow bar on my new car yet I dug the roof bars out (thule wing) and realised most of the noise cancelling rubber is missing.

A quick google shows this to be 20 per bar (or half what they cost in total).

Would just using some tape over the t channel do the same thing?

Yes, it works fine … but difficult to do neatly. And obviously can’t be re-used

I never bothered with the ‘noise cancelling’ rubber with mine and it was fine. A bit of noise but that was from the bike racks. Don’t bother and see how you get on.

    I bought this https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F352437831846

Despite £9 delivery, I have enough for 2 x 150cm bars, for a lot less than one Thule replacement.
