    Will it all be fine
    Or
    Dicing with death. 😆

Planing to ride down from Edinburgh to Carlisle (on road),then cut across to Hexam and on to the Sandstone way.

Roads back to Edinburgh from Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Fine, but a few bits may be fairly vegetated this time of year. Depending on your route down/across can give you some tips.

Should add, it’s not the most exciting in parts but passes through nice enough places on a good day.

The odd bit you might miss having a MTB, but overall a gravel bike is probably better suited. I’ve done it twice, both times on a MTB, but I’m awkward like that (I own a gravel bike).

Absolutely fine, I did it on a HT and my partner did it on her gravel bike, she was  on the right bike much more than I was.

    Thanks all. 👍
    Probably going to do a coast2coast2coast Cramond – Maryport – Berwick-upon-Tweed (via Hexam/Sandstone way).
Depending how gubbed I am,it may be back to Edinburgh via Gifford.
