Support is up to 400%, and whilst its impossible to nail down any reliable info about peak power, it is certainly in excess of 600 watts.

You’re part of a bike mag, measure it. Why not have some standardised testing where you stick ebikes on a static power meter, use power pedals to see the human effort required, and then report their actual top power and how long it lasts?

I wish the description of full power e-bikes could be just that- “full power”. I keep clicking on these threads expecting to find fat bike fun!

@wheelsonfire1 One of the first e-bikes we ever had in was a Haibike e-fat bike and it was an absolute hoot!

Was it full fat e-fat or semi-skimmed? (Perhaps the best name for lower power/weight e-bikes?)!!

Nice bike. Shame about the manufacturer.

Any half-decent bike shop will do these little things for you..

But will this affect your warranty if they’re not a Giant dealer?

What’s the warranty like on this thing?

    Asking for a friend.

Gold top, full cream, semi-skimmed and fully skimmed (4%, 2%, 0% in USA?). These are the new industry standards for e-bike power ratings!

It has a look that would turn all of the above sour.

Now that my 2 year electrics warranty is almost up on my 2022 giant Reign E+ 1and I am less concerned about jinxing it, I’ll add a couple of comments. I bought it nearly 2 yrs ago after somewhat restrictive AF diagnosis and resulting medication:

    – Benji’s review feels absolutely bob on to how me, and others that I know that have ridden this bike, have felt. I must admit I don’t find it quite as good a climber as Benji does though

    – Giant’s warranty support, for me and through my LBS Giant Stirling (was Velocity 44), has been needed, and has been prompt and efficient. New motor required at 3500kms, new speed sensor at 6000kms, and recently the charger went ‘phut’ and was also dealt with promptly. I will report how things progress outside of warranty period if needed. Note re. Fox Uk (silverfish) who instantly replaced the X2 rear with a brand new 2024 one which has been faultless for 18 months now, and also replaced the CSU on the 38s when in for a service as they detected creaking (which I had not). All in all, fab.

    – water bottle holder and frame do leave tight space, I found best solution was fidlock mount and ‘fat’ 750ml bottle

I like it a lot, I’m 195cm so in truth I would have preferred a bigger bike, but I wanted to buy local for support and it doesn’t feel too small.

And, FWIW I like Benji’s review style very much. If I want data analysis I’ll find a German review.
