Ok, so it’s a bit muddy. What combination tyre are you folks using up there at the moment?

You’ll need a bright coloured expensive waterproof, high end backpack and helmet along with a needlessly overbiked carbon Santa Cruz.

Last Sunday I used a Hans Dampf front and Ardent rear. It didn’t struggle but then I was on a Commencal 8)

    It’ll be a slop fest.

Please dont put on mud tyres and skid everywhere.

Save them for when it dries up.

Hora I feel slightly embarrassed, I have actually recently bought a high end back pack to fit in. I think your comment has made me realise this clearly. Admittedly it was second hand and from your list it was the only thing I could afford. But I actually think it was a genuine purchase in order to gain credibility and acceptance. I now have mixed feelings towards my backpack. This is all very confusing.

OP alderbrook copse normally holds up well in the wet. Though haven’t been recently.

Sloppy bogfest. I don’t hold with the American view that you should only ever ride dry trails to avoid damaging them, but really around Pitch and Winterfold in particular it needs less traffic for a while, on top of a drought!

Holmbury holds up better. Leith is sloppy except for Summer Lightning official parts.

Dogmatix all you need is a 750ml water bottle in your frame round there if it’ll fit.

    That way you’ll look Enduro-new fashion 8)

Is that OK muddy as hell but rideable or OK actually not too muddy?

We rode there today, with our apparently enduro specific water bottles.

Most of the well ridden trails are a bit of a mess, but still rideable, the lesser known, more fun stuff is all ok, save for a few puddles.

There has been a huge amount of building happening, literally tonnes of new trails, and jump lines appearing everywhere. Some bigger jumps needed though, overshooting them in the wet means massive overshoots, come the summer.

Pleased though, lots of new stuff to ride, and has renewed my interest a bit in riding there.

Nice though the stuff is, could do with less digging in the same area really, especially the industrial scale building of mahoosive jumps 😉

Else all goes the way as Evian/Milestone/A51/Three Amigos/etc.
