I havent got the bb id be using yet but having just fitted my shimano road bb on the drive side my 36-46 chainset looks very likely to foul (or have zero clearance). I was intending to use a 33 or 34 chainring on the front in place of the 36 as I have found it to be too high in certain road conditions (read hardknott) but am not sure if the 46 would then foul.

Anyone have any experience of trying something like this? I have seen that a trekking triple chainset may be the answer but then running a 2x shifter on a triple might cause some issues.

Running standard drop bars, cx70 chainset and a top pull FD.

Shouldn’t you be riding your new fat bike?! 😉

I should indeed clink, trying to get a frame in a size where I dont need a 180 stem and 550 post!

am I missing something? the shell on a KM is 73mm and you’re proposing using a htII/68/road chain set?

Yeah I was mocha, I have an ISIS bb and crankset that ill use instead, can choose a BB to fit the chainline then, just need the chainrings.
