got a new set of 140mm vanillas for the P7, earlier today i set it all up, put the forks on (albiet with no star-nut/head doctor)

it came with a star-nut but i also have a hope head-doctor coming tomorrow.

    so….

what is the best way to work out how much steerer i should CUT……

I am going on a long ride at midday, so going to whack the head doctor in as i dont fancy sticking the star-nut in (baniging it in too far etc) so as the forks are taller than my Rebas 100 i thought i would put all the spacers above the stem and see what its like?

am i making sense? i know its personal preference at the end of the day.

i guess if its lifting on climbs with no spacers under the stem im fecked anyway and will just have to live with it 😉

    Mmmmmmmmm

If you’ve got a had doctor and a load of spacers you don’t need to cut anything right now do you? You’ll just have to put up with looking like a bit of a **** with too much steerer sticking out the top for a bit 😉
