Got a sticking piston on my front break, as per the title really. Is the best way of fixing this to brush the piston with brake fluid and cycle it a few times to relube the seal?

I just popped mine apart and cleaned the lot up, re-bled it. Lets you check for piston and seal damage at the same time. Are you near the limit of your pad wear? Sometimes they stick more frequently when the pads are very worn.

Usually caused by a mix of dirt and dryness, best to strip and clean rather than turning the trapped dirt into grinding paste.Re-assemble with a spot of silicone lube(Hope dealers should be able to supply small bottles).

If you are going to strip and rebuild then have new seals to hand.
