    Building a frame and as a result have just become aware of 55.m chainline “wide” cranks for boost. SRAM, Hope and a few others now offering cranks for this standard (jts not Superboost, which is 56.5)

    They just keep sneaking this stuff in. I guess its the 3mm wider line for Transmission

    How can 1mm of chainline make any difference to anything?

    There will always be a point where 1mm makes a difference.

    There are no standards the bike manufacturers lumber us with what ever their deranged design and marketing departments dream up.
    If it doesn’t get widespread use then finding spares becomes interesting.
    That’s if it actually works
