    Hi all,

Im expecting my Orange five frame very soon and have currently have a full SRAM X9 2×10 groupset. However the chainrings on the X9 crank are too big as the largest exeeds the 36 tooth limit for the Orange’s single pivot setup.

Could I buy a SLX double and bash, which is obviously a 9 speed chainset or SLX 10 speed triple (Ill convert this to a double and bash) and it all run OK ?

    thanks

You MAY get a bit of chainsuck if using a 9 speed chainset with 10 speed chain. Should have no probs using a 10 speed chainset. Am using the opposite – Shimano 10 speed drive train with X9 double 10 speed chainset with no issues
