I’m pro EU.

We lost the vote. Oh well don’t blame me if it goes pear-shaped but hope it works out (quickly too).

I am confused.
It has been a long standing tradition on STW to slag off those whose opinion one doesn’t like. How is this different?
If you don’t like what someone has said fair enough but the to react at the same level is somewhat less than mature. It works both ways. If the haters here are allowed to rant then so is he, for better or worse.

A prime example. If you can say that then who ever the OP is on about, would some one like to save my time by explaining, can do the same. For what its worth both points of view are rather narrow and nasty.

Not all leave enthusiasts are like that, obviously, but there are a large number of nationalist types out there, who simply believe that the EU are the route of all ills and a threat to them in every way. Such people might see the treason petition as reasonable.

Rational leave enthusiasts believe that there are better business and legal practices available outside of the Eu.
-These people are unlikely to support the treason idea.

I would like to remain in the EU, but wouldn’t suggest rounding up leave enthusiasts and imprisoning them if the best happens and we stay in the EU.

I’ve not seen anything to suggest it was intended as satire.

But if it was then it might be reasonable to ask if our elected officials should really be using democratic devices to petition the government just for Epic Bantz on Twitter.

The news story seems to have died a death so it’s no longer getting the oxygen of publicity and the signature rate is definitely slowing. Could still hit 10,000 though which would be a tad embarrassing for the government.
