Snip snip!

I’m not doing it.
I believe women can have their tubes tied just as easily. Men are fertile all their lives women aren’t so what’s the problem with snipping the tubes?
It’s just an archaic power trip for women to neutur their men in my opinion.

I suspect that’s a troll, but…..because it’s a major op for women involving having layers of stomach muscles being cut through whereas for us it’s a 15 mins in the back room of the clinic and 2 paracetomol job.

Bit painful during the procedure, but no problems here. Back on the bike in no time.
Usual issue with sample submission though. That gents cubicle in out patients must see some action.
No way I’d have bashed bishop in the car, knowing my luck I’d have been on cctv.
The procedure probably was, given how many nursing folk were present.

Had the snip 9 years ago and still occasionally have a dull ache in the left testical which can last on and off for a few days,and very rarely have a very very painfull ache that can last a couple of minutes. only ever in the left testicle. actually got a mild ache at the moment. Any one else get this ore should i panick

I’ve got an old Doris. Fertile fanois is a thing of the past. I also stated, that if she suddenly popped her clogs and I met up with a nubile 20 something , wanting the real stuff, it would have been very selfish on her part to make me get the snip. 😯

Guy I worked with used to get a sharp sack pain on a regular basis and after a long while, the investigation found on second entry, there was something sharp, like a thread from tieing the ends, rather than cauterising , digging his sack from the inside. So he had it done twice !!

I have just had mine done, a sligty odd experience, they had to stop twice to redo the anasthetic which wasn’t ideal, however it was still genuinely far less painful then any physio session I have had!

Currently lying on the bed eating biltong with a bag of peas on my sack!

Looking forward to a couple of days off relaxing and hopefully won’t bruise too much

It’s not as easy, though my employers have a very successful procedure/device that does make it relatively easy. It’s massive in the USA, enormous sales.. and yet virtually unheard of here.
From what I can gather from the limited involvement I’ve had it’s cultural – in the UK we are conditioned to the men getting permanently disconnected, in the states it’s the reverse (from the studies/evidence I’ve seen anyway). All the marketing is based around advertising the ease of ‘install’ to the medics, and selling the idea to women (and men to an extent).
Couldn’t give you any real world pros/cons – but I got sliced as it was ‘my turn’ after the years of the pill, and was easily available on the NHS.

3 week update –

No issues from the Op as such all the plumbing still works as before, one scar has all but disappeared the other not quite… the main issue has been just how fn jaggy your pubes get on account of having been clipped off. Standing at cold bus stops is particularly noticeable as the “boys” huddle together for warmth. Otherwise tonight is my first night out on the bike!

3 week update

Same here, everything seems to have settled down. Got pissed off with the so-called dissolving stitches at about 10 days so cut them out. Nothing else to report, and will be back out on the bike tomorrow evening.

I dont get why youd have this procedure. I meanwho knows what the future holds, you might want the ability to have children again in the future for any number of reasons.

My op was hell. I had internal scar tissue from an old inguinal hernia op. My right tube apparently was caught up in the scar tissue. The doc tugging the right tube during the op had my sobbing in agony. Luckily the left was fine.

No pain since. My first ride back after a month, I slipped on a pedal and crunched my sack on the saddle!!!

No problems at all for me but I had arrived early so I walked around town and bought some pigeon decoys. The nurses found this hilarious. At least I think that’s what I think they were laughing at.

I had mine done 4 weeks ago today. I was back on my bike after 2 but I knocked my spuds on the saddle and made me feel quite sick so I left it another week after that, all ok now though.

Why do it ?

I haven’t had it done, but am considering it. I dearly love my two kids, they are amazing and mean the world to me. If anything ever happened to them I simply don’t think I could, in any way, replace them. I wouldn’t even try…
I am also 42 and I think it would be impractical to try and be the dad I would want to be again.
