GO on then.. here is mine, newly built last night. Only been up the road so far but I think it looks ace! Will have to cut the bars down and sort the front tubeless tyre as its got a tube in there.

I was thinking single front ring, 7 or 8 speed rear mech.

MTBR (I think) did a pseudo scientific test and actualy concluded that 10s shimano chains lasted twice as long as 9s equivelents (and the only chain to snap was a 9s). Given that 10s stuff isn’t that much more than 9s it might actualy pay for itself unless you’ve got shifters/mechs lying arround.

Stlotted dropouts are a PITA to get geares wheels out of. But if you go tubeless then there’s very little reason to and you cna then SS without a tensioner.

Well, I bit the bullet and got myself an inbred frame, vertical dropout (just never going to want to ride ss or hub I don’t think)……..

So now I need some forks – what are my options? On one say 100mm max, 1 1/8″ steerer required, and I’d preferably like them in white, with thru axle????

Here’s my inbred (26 not 29 I know) had it for a couple if weeks now and I’m deeply in love. Took a little while to get the right ratio but now very happy with 33×16. I can highly recommend carbon rigid forks.

Some nice bikes on here 🙂

Another option once the rims and tyres are available this side of the pond, A SURLY KramPug – Pugsley with offset Krampus wheels

Took mine to Dalby at the weekend, used to be my usual hangout but 18months had passed this time. Loved the salsa! It’s got an RF next carbon Seatpin and an slr team saddle on since the pic and I’ve some syntace carbon bars coming this week. Just need some Maxxis beavers tyres and I’ll be in the 20lb area I reckon. 🙂

Just purchased a Pace RC129 complete with their fork, currently sat in box, waiting till next pay day to begin the build. It’s replacing a Cannondale Trail SS, which is ok, but the EBB is just the work of the devil.

here’s my salsa el mariachi…I think it looks trick – but I am biased!
took it out for a first proper spin last night, loving the simplicity of singlespeed and no nasty gear grinding!

Painted it myself ,had it shotblasted then covered in etch primer, Final colour coat is Ford Nordic Blue.
Was done with Rattle cans from Halfords and lots of elbow grease.
