you can expect 20 ish miles and 4000 ish feet of climbing and a cracking ride .

weather permitting we are doing it on friday all be it very slowly due to lack of bike riding and too many pies N Pints

If you have the weather, probably one of the most memorable days you will ever have on a bike.

That's coming down Ullock Pike – with Bassenthwaite below and Barf / Whinlatter in the distance.

Coniston from Parkamoor. Cracking area to ride a bike.

I got one just like that, but with added snow 😉

Actually got a nice print of it as well from Photobox when they were doing poster offers. need to get it framed.

    Try again, apols.

Did the Coniston – Grizedale – Parkamoor – Blawith – Seathwaite – Walna Scar loop on Sun.

I didn't expect it to be this rocky! Bits of the trail, especially down Walna Scar and into Seathwaite, were like riding in a gravel pit, except the bits of gravel were torso-sized! Not sure if that's rideable…! Also I did not expect the c.90 minute hike up Walna Scar out of Seathwaite…anyone here ridden that (and lived)? Got nicely lost on the fells after Blawith, glad I'd recently bought a simple GPS device otherwise I'd have been f**ked. What else, oh yeah, cheers for the tip on here about the descent to Stephenson Ground along the gorge, great stuff cheers

    pics in reverse order ish

So a mixed bag really, great scenery and some awesome trails, but too much pushing/impassable rocky terrain (c50%), I was craving a nice wooded singletrack with berms etc. by the end although I know that's not in the spirit of things. some awesome terrain out there.

Dont sweat it. I have never got it right in about 4 attempts.
