I’m shortly going to be building up a SC Chameleon

Lets have a look at yours guys to get a bit of inspiration

Back when it was clean and the weather was a little sunny, last summer.

Built last autumn, should have got one years ago

Frame is for sale if anyone’s interested. It’s great, but i want something i can put a disc on the back of.

Heres mine, but with the wrong stem on 🙂

Cant believe how good these frames r.Held off for ages and finally pulled the trigger,dawm waitng so long.Thing is the new frames r way more forgiving than i thught they would b and so much fun 2 ride

I ride it more than my Pace at the minute, even with a 15″ frame or whatever it is. It’s the wife’s.

Biffer – yeah that would be good. bike looks cracking too. ive gone to a fullsus about 8 months ago and im considering goign back to a hardtail

Finbar, you know you can get retro-fit disk mounts for older chameleons? Attaches to the dropout and the caliper hangs under the chainstay – here’s a couple of pics of mine in case it helps (from the drive side, unfortunately)

Jungle sell them, here, although you might want to talk to them to check.

no worries vadar if your using a mac you go to your picture then – ctrl click – scroll down to – copy image address – then go to the reply box – click IMG – hold down the apple symbol key and the V key – and click ok.

Hora – long rides are not as comfortable as my 5″ travel bike – lol

You will learn to stand up and give your back a rest. Having said that I had a disk removed from my back end of last year (before I got my Cham) and I find it fine provided I do some stretching every now and again.

Don’t find it a problem personally, but then I’ve never suffered from “hardtail back”. Big tyres, squidgy saddle and carbon post help though. Everyone has this idea that Chameleons are torture devices, but actually they are pretty conventional in terms of geometry and dimensions, they just have a pretty robust rear triangle is all.

Here’s mine. Should have got a medium though. Frame, forks and cranks now for sale.

Yup, I have long legs and short body and the kind of riding I do these days is a 2 hour razz round the woods, so having an XC stretch isn’t really necessary.
