    Hi.

The bearings appear to be shot on my Shimano M-475 rear hub. Does anyone know if the bearings are replaceable, or if it is a case of buying a new hub, and then rebuilding the wheel?

    Any help much appreciated.

If it’s the cups that are damged then a new hub is a good idea, take the opportunity to get one with better sealing(Deore 525 or XT maybe). if it’s just the balls or cones then they’re easy to replace with new, may be worth buying a cheap non disc Shimano hub to rob the bits from.

    Thanks for that.
