So, the liquid detergent dispenser on our Samsung washing machine keeps filling with water – not sure why. Anyone else had similar issues and what was the solution? Thanks!

Sounds like it’s blocked, take it out and give it a thorough clean. Should slide out if you release the clips on the sides.

Yes, we’ve tried that, it’s recurred fairly quickly. Could it be blocked downstream and is that an easy fix?

You could try running some empty cycles with soda crystals in the drawer, that should help clean out gunk downstream.

Yes try regular boil washes empty with dishwasher tablet, or drop a load of white vinegar in the drum and run empty.  Gunk builds up on 30 degrees washes.  Clean out the filter at drain plug too, they are usually minging.

It’s not a standard drawer, more a tank that should be full of liquid detergent but in practice is full of water. I’d be a bit worried that soda crystals will just sit there?

Maybe put some in the powder compartment and a bit more straight into the drum, run it, and see where you are then? They will disolve in hot water, so it might kinda backwash your liquid tank? just a thought…
