The snow is meting here this week so I might take a chance with a commute into work on the bike. Are there any sprays or other concoctions that help ward off the salt and grit that have been sprayed on the road?

Bit of GT85 on frame, forks, brake blocks & rims should help.

Best option is washing properly, no real short cuts unfortunatly.

good wash afterwards and not too much lube on the chain (it only seems to collect the grit anyway on my road bike).

I use finish line polish on the frame and rims, wouldn’t recommend putting it on the rims if you’re running rim brakes though.
Apparently it sticks to bikes/cars as they now use a mix with molasses to stop it being washed off the road.
