RS Poplock remote – Gear or brake cable

Simple question I hope. Which type of cable does the RS Pop-lock remote use (a 2007 model if it matters). I reckon gear cable but just checking..

Mine uses a gear cable. The shape of the recess that the end of the cable sits in on the lever should confirm this.
