Looking for a new 160mm fork and like the idea of the Rockshox Lyrik 2 -step Air over the Fox Float 36s, due to all the quality issues people are talking about with the Fox Forks.

I run Rockshox on all my other bikes (Revs and Rebas) with no trouble so trust the brand over Fox.

I know the original 07 Rockshox Lyrik 2 -step Air, has problems with travel reduction and Rockshox sent kits out to affected people to convert into coil, as it happen to friend of mine.

I this still a problem on newer forks? As there are some good deals on the 2 – steps (cheaper than the coil and solo air)

Any comments greatly appreciated as all the 160mm forks seem very expensive so i want to get it right from the start.

    Cheers

I’ve had my Fox 36’s nearly a year now and they are still buttery smooth. As long as you clean the seals and change the oil once a month or so they should be fine.

STW this month say that Fox 36’s are “the best single crown forks ever”.

Yep, the new (Or modded) Lyrics are fine. Mate had some of the ones that went back under warranty to be fixed and he loves them to bits now.

What is the change/mod between the old and new forks?
