The new Ghibli isn’t that expensive (well not in a world where you can spend £30k plus on a Golf) and is aiming for the higher end Merc / BMW / Audi saloons.

I guess there will be those on here able to afford those kind of leases so it’s not the worst place to advertise.

I’m sure if STW got a proper grip on the forum they could be very rich indeed (or a bit richer anyway). Whereas the mag which when it first came out was innovative has been left well behind by better alternatives. Shame really as they did originally offer something that MBR and MBUK didn’t.

Maserati are currently advertising on Absolute Radio.

Must have a new “cheap” model coming out.

My mate sniffed the door-handle on Jodie Kidd’s at Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years ago, does that count?

£49,000 for one according to the adverts on ClassicFM. But leasing at the same rate as a 5 series, and I suspect a few people on here have bought new 5 serieses and are now aware they could have had a Maserati.

Mark – you need to do a deal…

A Maserati each for Chipps and you – all stickered up with STW logos.

It can only enhance the brand!

Always thought maserati’s were a bit, mondeo like. yeah they’re quick, but the styling is somewhat remeniscent of a rover 75

The new Alfa looks nice if I wanted unreliable fun

Keep up the good work. This misinformation keeps the second hand value low 😆

I like them – the GranTurismo MC Stradale is a good looking thing. Sounds fab too.

The Ghibli is pretty nice too – there is one parked near work. It’s change from a posh 5 or E class. Although the entry price is quote low, the options are pricey.

My wife’s boss had a 3200GT when they were quite new. Massively unreliable, kept going back for warranty work. It got written off in a flood and he bought an M3 which he was *much* happier with.

A diesel Maserati ? I’m sure there’s a market, but that feels wrong.

Do they do a Maserati estate that’s good in the snow and on bumpy unmade lanes? I’ll take one!
Hey, it’s not our fault that you’re all the target market for fancy cars… 😉

Being an unemployed former bike mechanic and research scientist, it’s going to be many years before a Maserati becomes an option 😉

But having once fitted a bike rack to a quatroporte, that has to be a plus 😀

My pharmacist (not the illegal sort of pharmacist) owns a Granturismo, same as below – very nice car indeed and she’s the same age as me…..I drive a 12yr old ford connect van 🙁 but i’m not jealous as she’s an all round pretty decent sort and took me for a quick spin – the roar of the V8 when floored made my willy tingle.

    For molgrips

    I prefer this Ghibli creation

And Granturismos are starting to get to the £30K mark! Gransports hovering at about £25K. Not that I’m watching…

We happened to arrive in Modena the weekend they were celebrating 100 years of Maserati, massive parade of cars through the town.

If I had the money I’d be going elsewhere thanks to the annoying bloody advert on here that I have to try and click off 5+ times I visit here. I’m visiting here less because of the ******* thing

Yet it doesn’t, because they never seem (to my view) to put their potential readers needs first.

    This is meaningless waffle

    Really?
Thats a major assumption, and I argue incorrect too.

Random punter accusing site admin, with access to all the data, of making major incorrect “assumptions” while at same time claiming their assumption is correct, on the basis of having access to none of the data.

I like them, they appeal to me, apart from having 2 dogs and am always muddy, you really don’t want to see the state of my 4×4!!!!

I couldn’t ever lease something, I’m dreadful at looking after things properly.

The target audience is the kind of aspirational person who, if they’re dumb enough to spunk 5 grand of disposable income on a pushbike, might also spend 100 grand on an impractical car?

Probably a targeted campaign. The marketing peeps probably think if you can spend £5,000 on a top of the range SC or Evil, you have the cash to buy one of their cars. One of their cars being the Ghibli upon which a lot hangs.

Anyhoo – for some £500 a month for a Ghibli or a used Gran Turismo is an acceptable cost, much like £500 a month on childcare is to for others. £500 spare cash a month for others would be a dream come true – it’s a broad church out in ST forum land

I’m only buying one if it fits a large 29er in the boot. Any photos?

Hardly top end for 5k darling….

It’s a bit strange with cars, I’ve none a few people who don’t seem that loaded etc. but cars were there passion, one had am Aston for weekend and track fun others have fully loaded TT’s or high end Mercs.
Given a lot of the threads in here, and a lot of the car talk it might well be a decent marketing ploy. In reality they have come back for more so something in the analytic’s says it’s worth it. Also for all those non P members just accept it’s what is paying for the hosting of the site.

A guy that used to bike with us occasionally had a 3200. With no folding rear seats and a fairly small boot he had to fairly much disassemble his bike before and after riding. I think to the point of talking off the forks each time. He wasn’t so impressed when I put my 29er full sus directly into the back of the estate. Just wheeled it in and drove off. He didn’t keep the Maserati too long!

Been over this too many times already, but to repeat again, it not the ads that are the problem, it this particular ad that covers the whole bloody screen, and keeps covering the whole bloody screen, and when you tap on the ‘close’ text more often you end up being taken to Uniqlo or whatever ad happens to sit underneath that corner, thus having to clear out of that as well.
It’s a remarkably dumb bit of marketing that creates an advert that ends up really pissing off the very people it’s supposed to be enticing into buying their client’s product.
It’s inept, and whoever the agency is who are the geniuses behind it, I’d dearly love to know so I can kick them in the slats.

I do not have a Maserati, although I do have a Santa Cruz Nomad.

If I had a driving licence or room to store a vehicle, I’d probably be seriously considering some sort of secondhand van with a bed in the back.

Do you get a free Tudor watch ?

A friend has a old bi-turdo rust bucket. Still has it and it really is just a pile of rust with a tridant badge on top.

No Maserati here, we have a Citroen.
If i had that kind of money i wouldn’t waste it on a car.
And if i had to buy a car that cost that much i would get a Tesla.
