I have felt well enough to get out of bed today for the first time since Christmas. Haven’t done much. Planned to ride out at QE Park but friends arrived as I was leaving so sat on my arse all afternoon instead. I am starting to feel a bit tired and I am coughing again but had psyched myself up for a ride today.

How much harm will an hour or so night riding around Lordswood do?

Will it cause the cold symptoms to reappear or anything nasty?

Anyone want to join me for the ride if i promise not to breath on them?

Wait until all symptoms (cough, blocked nose, headaches) have gone. Otherwise you’ll be using up energy that would have otherwise been used to fight the infection. A week extra off now will pay back in spades a month down the line. Im sure some other medical “experts” will have other ideas…

just had my first ride after being laid up for 2 weeks. Soon after starting thought no way would i do the planned route (cut gate)but just kept going and going until reaching the other end.
Really glad i got out and guess i will find out tomorrow if i should have stayed at home!
