All the instructions say is to pull away from hub – a vid I’ve seen on the net says to turn slightly anticlockwise whilst doing so.

I’ve done both and the freehub body doesn’t budge.

Now, I’ve given it a pretty good pull and am concerned that if I go at it much harder I might damage something.

    Please advise.

    Cheers

The axle is out I assume?

It can take quite a tug and usually comes off with a pop/click

Undo the axle, remove non drovside part of the axle, give the freehub a twist anticlickwose and tug. Sometimes you have to give it fair old pull. Can’t think of anything you could damage by pulling too hard!

    Hi Anthony,

    Yes axle out.

I’ve already given quite a tug – just a bit worried as it’s not giving at all – will have another go – might need two people!

    mmmmmmmm……

well had an interesting tug of war with my lad but unfortunately no joy.

I note that in the service vid –

    – the chap has a special tool for gripping the freehub body. I’m loosing grip before I can exert enough pulling force.
