I think Montane do a minimus and minimus lite. I’m after a Small one myself after missing out on £38 in the Wiggle megasale.

    Frame Sale

    planet X frame sale.

london road for £150, XL whippet carbon for £200…huntsman and scandal also for £200.

    I’m teetering on a whippet. I don’t need it, but, well, £200?

£200 for a carbon frame does seem hard to ignore! These never-ending Planet X deals aren’t helping me sell my lightly used Scandal frame though… keep meaning to list it, but it’s probably only a hundred quid’s worth right now.

If its a medium, PM me, as I might be interested in taking that off your hands to replace my BigWig with a seized seatpost!

This thread really works well for me! Having all the PSAs in one place is so much more convenient.

This thread works for me too. I keep forgetting it’s there so don’t spend any money on constant PSA threads!

I know reviews on here have been a bit mixed but Unite Components have 20% off this weekend with the code UNITE20

I’ve taken a punt on some 155mm cranks for £162.98 including postage to try on my Squatch with its pedal strikingly low BB.  Benefits to me are DUB BB so it will slot into what I have and they take a SRAM chain ring so again what I already have plus readily available.

A bit too heavy to take on the bike but bought one yesterday to put in the camper for general duties

    https://www.lidl.co.uk/p/parkside-bike-tool-kit-41-piece-set/p10015688

Worth its weight in gold today as we needed to restring the fly screen on the habitation door.

The ratchet was the only tool that would go behind the ledges to remove and replace 14 screws

I got one of those as well, as you say it’s not good to take on the bike but its a good little ratchet for most jobs and has all the bits you need, even has round ended allen bits.

anyone know if those unite cranks can be run with a 55mm chain line? I know you can get a dub axle but I think I would struggle for clearance on a slash with standard dub sizing.

The Unite cranks use SRAM chainrings, so the offset deoends on the ring, not the crank, should be able to fit a suitable ring to give 55

If you can bring yourself to lube Jeff Bezos rocket, then they have a decent deal on the Clarks CRS C2 brakes (£92 the set, inc. rotors). Lovely things they are, nicely finished and pretty light. 160mm rotors only though, if that bothers you.

Surprisingly articulate for a Bluetooth speaker at the price. Lack of thumping bass enhances listening to tdf, spoken word, etc:

Wow I didn’t know Howies were still going. I’ve just chucked out the last of my howies T shirts which are threadbare (probably because they’re 15 years old).

Yup, Howies are going still. I’ve always liked their stuff. Their tops are just the right size for me. @moab, cheers, I’ve just got me a lovely merino mix jacket ? ?

I particularly like Howies because I always like supporting local businesses.

I thought this worth a bump and some visual stimulus after I had a dig around…

Looks like the discounts are from the supplier so any Salsa retailer should be able to do that price:

    Salsa Blackthorn Frame

Cassidy (Enduro version) and Blackthorn (Trail version) frames in all sizes are 900 quid.

These are really, really nice bikes, I nearly bought one after a short little test a couple of years ago, good geo, well built, look great…They are proper big trail, chunk & rock eating, rough stuff type bikes. Absolute bargains.

They even have the spare linkages on sale too, you could pick one up for future conversion from one to the other.

(FYI Just remember you need a Superboost hub)

Decent rear light at 57% off. Moon Comet X. A double bargain if you want a light that can mount to saddle rails as a mount is included. The Cateye saddle mount is a separate item at around £10.

The Orange frames are an even bigger bargain as there’s another 10% off the sale price (or anything else on the site) so the 2021 Alpine 6 frame and shock comes in at £810! They have 5 Evo and Stage Evo frames too.
