Are they all the same brand though? I’m sure I’ve had Crivit (sp?) and someone else so these shorts could be totally different… or totally the same

Crivit is Lidl, Crane is Aldi.

Not tried those shorts, but I think the Aldi clothing is usually pretty good. Though annoyingly it often isn’t available in a small size.

Maybe that’s me getting confused then, I think I have a mixture of Aldi & Lidl thinking they were all Aldi

They could do with some better sizing info, having to order M & L then return whichever doesnt fit is a pain

Anyone know what those stands are like? getting tired of hanging the bike on the washing line.

Think I’ll be getting shorts, gloves, hoodie, maybe the light, maybe two pairs of gloves and shorts…..

The Garmin’s gone from the site 🙁

The shorts were OK last year, I thought, could have done to have been an inch or two longer.

Might get the light for Jnr as my old one he uses is dying. Might get some gloves for the whole family. Intrigued by an MTB hoody as well.

Workstand ordered! Saves me doing the usual: Getting to the local Aldi not-quite-early-enough and finding some pikey curnutt’s bought them all up to lob on Ebay…

I guess the answer to the light question is anything with a 3 yeah warranty is bound to be better than the latest fire starter from China then?!

New here but been a lurker for a while

Garmin available on Amazon for the same price – only 4 left though

Kamakazie – C&B seen do a 3 x Cree light and good after sales support for less than an Aldi unbranded light. They’ve replaced a battery for me no quibble and sent the replacement out before I returned the faulty item. Think you’re indirectly paying for that 3 year warranty IMHO

The reflective shoe clip lights in the running section are a good idea for night road / commuting

Thanks dufusdip. A colleague has some c and b seen so I’ll see what they think.

Are the £6.99 gloves the full on hardcore winter gloves that are brilliant below freezing, or just a ‘Spring’ full finger?

Correct me if I’m wrong but those c and b seen lights at those prices are head units only? Still have to factor in mounts and batteries?

Don’t think they’d be winter gloves in April, they certainly don’t look like them.

The winter stuff is normally in October/November time.

Had a pair of the gloves last year. The gel pad seems to be in a weird place to me.

I find that on flat bars, but they’re fine for drops. One of the fingers went through quickly in mine, but that’s not unusual as I have weirdly long digits. I’ll just buy a couple of pairs, still cheaper than other options.

    edit – there’s a non-gel option too. And that Muc-Off stuff is a bargain!

Just picked up a couple of lights, will report back later.

The £6.99 gloves seem fine, a light 3 season type thing.
2 styles, the non velcro ones were a poor fit for me.
Worth a punt to see if I like full finger lighter gloves.

Not many MTBers in Corby obviously. Or they were all still out riding.

Grabbed a couple of pairs of shorts (had some Aldi winter ones previously and liked them), two pairs of non gel gloves (the non Velcro ones fit me fine it seems), couple of pairs of socks socks (just because…) and took a punt on their ‘technical’ riding hoodie – surprisingly good on first trying on (have to see how it holds up to wear and tear) and might be a nice spring/autumn alternative to a lightweight jacket.

All for less than the cost of a pair of branded shorts…

Guess it’s the old ‘Hope vs XT bottom bracket’ discussion all over again.

Garmins are £79.99 in store. My local has two in cabinet. Just medium shorts for me.

Hoodies are huge and baggy, not fitted at all but nice long arms. Medium was the smallest they do and was massive on me (6’3, 32 waist and 38 chest)

Just got a couple of pairs of XL gloves

Got some shorts. Bit too baggy and not quite long enough for me, probably OK for days without knee pads. Small (if they did them) would have been a better fit.
Also got some of the gloves with Velcro closure, seem pretty good for £5.99 and fitted better than the other style.

I bought some of the shorts , they seem good for the price fairly well made ill have to see how they last.
also some of the muc of chain lube again good price and one of the mudguards for my sons bike. Fitted eventually after a bit of faffing , tried it on my road bike and mountain bike both fitted with fizik saddles and it did not want to fit.Ha? a look for the gloves for my son but didnt have xs sadly.

The gloves are good for the money. Very similar indeed to Endura Full Monty’s

How are the shorts and jerseys sizing up in the real world?

    colournoise

I got large shorts and the waist size is pretty much exactly as described (36″ – 38″). They are not long though – I have short legs (30″) and they are only just knee length on me…

Their clothing often seems to be “German-cut” for strangely proportioned gibbons with a bit of a gut, hence I only ever bother with the odd cheap jacket, socks, gloves or leg warmers…

In case people are searching for the lights, they had quite a few sets left now (Monday lunch) at their M23 9SR store, baguley, Manchester.

What’s the “Urban” Muc-off stuff like? Worth it on a filthy mtb?

Picked up some of the big lights for Jnr, and some of the chain lube as I’m nearly out. Looked at the hoodie but figured I could get one at Decathlon if I really need one.

Also found some Swarfega Orange cheap in the leftovers bin.

Currently undoing all the weekends good work with a slab of the Choceur Fruit and Nut….

I picked up one of the £25 quid stands in Macclesfield this morning – they had loads at 9am. I see try are sold out online.
