If anyone has a new (decent) tube spare that they could sell me tomorrow? I have one spare currently but its a Halfords own brand and I'm not too confident in how it'd perform (used my decent spare tube last Sat and I always carry two spares).

Shraeder or Presta- I can swap tubes round if I get a puncture.

hora, mtfu and use dual ply, its the future!

FIRST puncture in a year. First. FFS! I've ridden mainly the Peaks on 35psi. Laughed at others (in a good natured way)…

Then on the Dragons back, on the first smooth bit ffs. the tube just gave up in multiple places on the inside. 😆

Assuming I do actually drag myself out of bed in time I'll be there & usually have at least 2, usually more spare tubes, so shouldn't worry too much. That's not an invite to ride not carrying anything yourself though…Will…

My back is undergoing lazarus style recovery…. Beer and ibuprofen is helping…. My kit is packed… Fingers crossed I won't seize up overnight

Just checking in to see if this is still on for tomoz …and it is, great! I'll be at Sett Valley car park for 08:45 latest.

Pook – Good to see your back's healing. I'm a longterm bad back crock, mine's been OK for a while until recently so I've not ridden much in the last month. I will be the numpty at the back puffing like billy-o.

    Is it sciatica Pook?

I was always able to ride with sciatica back problems but not walk (very odd). The more I exercised the better it felt.

popocatapeti – wish I'd known earlier about your birthday, then I would have made a real effort to make cake, just been a bit busy of late.

    See you all tomorrow.

Hey Pook, are you under physio right now?

I may be able to help…for free 🙂

At dawn, look to the East…the red slayer 50 will signal your recovery….I've consumed a couple of glasses of red wine btw 🙂

    PS: May I join in?

Balls, wifey really tired from late shift so I'm taking the lads out so she can have a sleep – No biking for me today 🙁 🙁

Have a great day everyone, the weather looks fab for you all 🙂

Pooks, that offer still stands re: your back prob, if it's turning into a chronic problem we need to sort it 🙂

Top top ride that was. Massively enjoyed exploring some new trails for a change. Thanks Jules for stepping in to lead – cracking route selection that.

See you all soon for the next one.

Bit tired now, cracking day out though. We did another ace descent after you lads left us, I pinch flatted the *front* tyre. Bit of a parp moment.

Bruce suggested a Macc forest meet for a ride, good idea as I've not ridden there for two or three years now.

Good ride, knackered – manflu – longest I've speent out with the bike for a month or so. Made up for having to road it out over peep o day with a return over Mount Famine back to Chapel. Forgot to ride back at Pootle pace and was ready to fall over at Mount Famine.

Hora was the pheasant plucker rumour had him to be but jerk chicken is never going to be the same after his insights into the secret world of the chicken chaser.
