This came and sat in the garden with me earlier for about an hour, it made a scrape in some sand and just sat there with me like a pet dog. It has four piglets which it wouldn’t allow to come out of the hedges, just as well as they’re getting pretty big and play fast and rough. I was crouching down and just talking to it, at times getting to about 1.5 metres away.
It felt like a ‘Gorillas in the Mist’ thing as these are pretty big wild animals, and normally they leg it whenever they get wind of us.

You’re right Skiboy , but it’s a bit of a worry on night rides, alone in the woods, knowing that you you might bump in to some of these on the trail……. 😀

Andy, where in London was the ‘Purple Bag’ pic taken? I love the Paul Smith wall. ‘Tate Pier’ is good, too, love the angles.

Thanks. It was just off Blackfriars Bridge on Southwark Bridge Rd. Most have a geotag on. Top right on the Flickr page. Link to Streetview below.

IA – nice time lapse. What software do you use please for compiling the stills into a video? I’ve got the stills but my software crashes if I try compiling a decent number of them…

Any video editing software such as Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut etc should do it. Just import as a “numbered sequence”, then you can edit it like a normal piece of footage. I think Quicktime Pro will also allow you to compile them and export as a video file. Same goes for MPEG Streamclip, not certain about that but it’s free so worth a go!

Thanks for the info about the purple bag pic, it hadn’t occured to me to go to Flickr and check for a geotag. I’m up in that there London Village early next month so I’ll pop along and check it out. Might get a good photo opportunity myself.

Flippin ‘eck, the quality on this thread is improving all the time 🙂

Can we somehow consolidate the photos into some kind of easily browsable gallery? Something on flickr itself perhaps? I tried reading the whole thing back but it was taking forever.
