As above, did a big Ladybower/cutgate/lansett/woodhead pass/glossop to snake via doctors gate ride yesterday on 2.1 panaracer trailrakers.

I take it there more of a muddy/winter tyre? Anyway i bought a pair of
smallblock 8’s last week and after reading a couple of forums they seem to be lethal on the front,is this true?

Or should i just swop my advantages off my hardtail?

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers.

High Rollers 42a F & 60a R work in the peak for me! on Stans FLOW as well so tubeless…great combo.

A Small block 8 wouldn’t be too bad on the rear but front? WTF no way

I like specialized eskars, blow up nice and big track really well over the rocky bits, good weight for the size at just over700g and only £20 each from my lbs. Only downside is they don’t do so well in the mud

Depends on how heavy/fast you are down the rocky descents. I’ve never ridden there yet and not had an issue with punctures, either pinchng the innertube or the tyre itself if running tubeless, apart from when I use dual ply Maxxis DH tyres.
