It’s going to be like an episode of loose women. Hora can be Jane macdonald.

Ooh – I have a wig somewhere that would be perfect for Jane MacDonald…

Subject to too many factors to go into here, I may be there…or I may not.

    Woo, looking forward to this,

    is it all off road?

anyone got any ideas of what weather to expect?

    >is it all off road?

no, there’s a fair bit of road work, but it’s height gain on road (in nice countryside for the most part), and off road descents

according to my guide book – and assuming it is the old classic Buxton circuit – it is 15 miles of which 9 are off road. There’s a fairly extended section climbing up to Derbyshire Bridge that is road, but it is very pleasant quiet lane in some lovely countryside. The road past Whitehall Centre is now sufficiently broken up to offer some fun, and again in some great countryside. I used to live there as a kid 🙂

It’s an “old school” route if you know what I mean, but Jules could have some surprises up his sleeves

The surprises will have to wait until summer, 7p.m. onwards 😉

WOO HOO! I may be able to come!!

One question: if it’s a bit flatter and smoother than the dark peak shall I bring my new bike instead??

    nbt

You can bring it if you like, why not. Will did the pootle on a singlespeed (rigid) CX bike, last year. We’ll be on the silver machine

I’ve hired a tandem a couple of times before and they’re a lot of fun but must be mental on anything remotely gnarly!!!

Woo, my first peak pootle, will be coming with Rob (as in robdob, see above).

Riding a CX bike sounds like the way to go for this ride.

tollah – its an easy ride for a highly niche, skilled mtber such as yourself.

    Is mrs tollah coming?

How will I die on a cx bike? Thought it was gentle?
