Rather overlooked with all the bonkers political news around the world this week, but this is interesting. Deep state actors silencing the man of the people or the dodgy funding of the far right finally being called out?

I’d like to hope it’s the latter, because I suspect if you follow the money in and out a number of other right wing populist politicians might start to squirm a little

It is the later, I had a couple of Romanian friends travelling to vote this weekend. Apparently lots of foreign based Romanians have been travelling home or to places they could vote to try and make sure Putins interference was challenged.

So far the western response to the flood of propaganda and misinformation has been pathetic at best, but I guess as Putin’s propaganda is aligned with the western oligarchs wishes, our politicians are serving their paymasters rather than the people again. I can understand why Boris and Trump and other leaders who have massively benefited from it have done nothing, but why have the so called moderates also been so inactive on the problem.

Usual suspects will be along in a minute to blame the pesky centralists…

I strongly suspect it’s a lack of funding. Moderate parties aren’t getting the money and bot farms that the right are enjoying,  and governments presumably walk a tightrope when it comes to calling out bollocks due to allegations of bias, and propaganda, as well as a justified suspicion that they are all in it together/for themselves.

Better education is the solution but there’s a missed generation or two and again, funding and other priorities.
