    Evening

Does anyone have any experience of either of the off road scooters below.  I’m considering one as a birthday present for a 5′ 6″ tall 11 year old.

    Zinc Dirt Scrambler Scooter

    Razor RDS Dirt Scooter

Would it be big enough, and if not, what would be?

Will be used around the local streets, paths and woods with little chance of jumps or tricks.  Have had a cheap folding one that was destroyed in little over a year and hope this would get more use and last longer.

So, anyone got/had either of the above or got recommendations for similarly priced alternatives?

    Thanks.

Can’t be much help, I’m afraid, other than the fact that my son’s Zinc scooter seems to have put up with some hefty abuse.

I quite fancy one of those off-road ones, myself! 😳

My 8yr old got the Razor one last Xmas, if anything it’s a bit big for him but he’s had a good time with it so far and it’s still working fine, not even a puncture. Don’t think it’s the “coolest” brand but we couldn’t justify anything more expensive when it’s mainly for use in the local woods when walking the dogs rather than winning medals at the X-games!
    Bargain at that price too.

    Thanks for the replies.

Cheviots, how tall is your 8yr old?

I’m sure either of the above options are cooler than the ”Zu Zu Hamster’ one that it’s replacing.

Fadda, it’s handy that the weight limit is 100kg on those, means I can just about get away with having a go…could be fun on holiday this summer as they have a skatepark where we’re going. 🙂

I’ve got one vote each way so has anyone got anything to add to help me decide?

    Cheers

Laddo’s got a zinc scooter. Quality build, absolute bastard when you’re carrying it tho, it spins round and hits you in the shins!

Thanks wrightyson, good to have another vote for the zinc, appeals to my thrifty side.

Hoping to avoid shin, scooter problems by having one I can ride instead of carry.
