I think there’s a distinction between bongo singular, referring to rhythm pamphlets and their electronic offspring, and bongo plural, which isn’t.

For the purposes of this thread, it’s the singular. Bongo. However, if, as mentioned above, this is some Northern thing, I shall have to stop using it immediately. 😉

When the UK “sends aid to Bongo Bongo land” what exactly are we doing??

‘Shipping aid to bongo bongo land’ is now my favorite euphemism

I used to be area manager for a chain of academic bookshops, one of which was located at a university. I took a call one Sunday eve from our HR department who had been alerted to the fact that the store computer had been used to access, for want of a better term ‘granny porn’ websites. We narrowed it down to a 20 year old lad in the end, and he never turned up for his disciplinary hearing. The best of it was, the book shop had been open when he was accessing the website, and it opened out into the refectory. There was a good chance he had been sat behind the counter pleasuring himself in full view of his fellow students whilst they tucked into their lunch.

I remember heading into one of those “academic bookshops” in St. Mary’s in Southampton, very educational it was too. Of course, with the rise of internet bongo material it’s probably shut down now.

I don’t personally think watching porn in public is socially acceptable, but equally I don’t think it should be illegal.

I do, its illegal to allow minors to watch porn I imagine so public porn watching is pretty borderline imo. I’d have told the dirty **** to turn it off (unless he was a lot bigger than me… no not the bloke in the video the dirty git watching)

I’m just surprised the captain is using public transport. Assume helicopter is in for a service.

If he was allowing any kids to see it I would agree.

But from what’s been said, he wasn’t.

So your imaginary scenario isn’t relevant really is it ?

It’s illegal to carry a knife, but he wasn’t doing that either 😉

[edit] almost forgot ….. “Won’t somebody please think of the children!”

Was there some memo I missed?

Return journey, different chap, also on window seat, big screen laptop watching an episode of Entourage, in which three pronstars appear at someone’s door, dressed very, erm, interestingly. And with some distinctly un-ladylike frontal appendages strapped upon their groins.

National watch smutty things on the train day, clearly!

BTW! Entourage is really rather good.

i dont think flashy gave us the full run down of all the passengers on that carridge, a train is a public space where children are likely to be are they not? People shouldnt have to think maybe I’ll take the kids in the car are the 8:30 from paddington always has some dirty **** watching porn on it. Obviously you have different moral values to me if you think watching porn in public is acceptable behaviour.

I love how some people on here can manage to make watching porn on a commuter train some sort of free speech test case.

I once got off the London train in deepest Yorkshire, walked down the platform and noted that a passenger had his laptop turned to the window, watching porn. Didn’t realise he’d stopped at a station and everyone walking past could clearly see.

The problem is, people just let things slide these days without challenging what is unacceptable behaviour.

Perhaps it be worth reporting? Yes, this behaviour needs to be challenged as who’s to say that they wouldn’t give a stuff if women and children were around whilst they’re ‘browsing’ ?
