Just got a set of new lens. It came with a little thing in a pouch, bit like the end of a felt tip. What is this for? Says irritant on it? For cleaning?

its for replacing the hydroscopic coating on the lense…dont put it in your eyes
then water will just run off the surface

Ah ok. Do you need to use straight away? Does it need to go on the inside to stop steaming up?

wait till water stops running off…they were finding that the coating was coming off after a month or two hence the applicator
