Not a fan of the itv NFL show, too little action, too many adverts.

NFL game pass on Apple TV for me.

Having watched the Bills lose the SB 4 times in a row, I’d not be disappointed to see them win it, and my Phins were never going to win it this year (or any year probably 😂). As long as the NYG don’t win it I don’t really care, though I’d also prefer the 9ers to not win either (actually think they will win the SB). Its certainly been a good playoff weekend so far.

For once I don’t really mind who wins tonight. Going to be interesting seeing the birds D up against Andy Reid’s offense

Same here! As long as the Eagles lose. 🤣🤣

However, got a feeling it’ll be their night. Hope it’s a great game and looking forwards to half-time show.

Half time and off to bed. Eagles look to be dominant and I will have something to talk about with my Philadelphia colleagues tomorrow. That first tackle with a head was grim. The running game is excellent.

There’s been a severe lack of great D so far. Especially in the secondary. Still time for a game-changing play though.

Gotta be gutting to be told “don’t score” and sit down on the one yard line Instead of getting your name down as a TD scorer in superbowl history.

    Great game though.

    See you all in September!

Yea that must be painful only for the kicker to get the glory.

Was trying to understand the logic behind this. I love the spectacle of the Superbowl, still not too au fait with many of the rules and intricacies of play though… Seemed to me that they just needed to score, a Touchdown, a field goal, whatever…

That was a fantastic game, a brilliant match up of teams really going for it.

    @mboy
the risk is the clock kinda stops when you score a TD and that’s gives the opposing side more time on the field to try and score themselves. By sitting down on the 1yard line they retain the ball and can kill them game off as they have a new set of downs.

    29 long weeks ahead.

@white101 I thought that was what they were doing. Seems counter intuitive to me though, especially as the goal kicker missed his first attempt earlier on in the game… Seems to me if you’ve got the opportunity to score a touchdown for 6pts and possibly extend it by another 1 or 2 pts too, then have to defend for a minute, it’s better than running down the clock then still allowing for the fact your goal kicker, who isn’t in great form, might miss the 3 point field goal anyway… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Many games down the years have looked sewn up with a minute left on the clock only for the tables to turn with some outrageous plays and fortune.

That’s what makes it a great spectacle.

Great game, well worth the lingering tiredness today! Expecting slightly meaner defensive play but both teams were irresistible with the ball. So good to watch.

Thought Jalen Hurts was going to out-Mahomes Mahomes. Got to be a bit gutting to have put in a performance like that and not win. That late run up the middle by Mahomes though.

Did seem slightly anti-climactic that the Chiefs chose to win it in the way they did, but two minutes is a long time to hold the Philly offense back when they were playing like that. All about the averages. Chiefs score that TD with 2 mins to go, take the safe option of the single extra point, the way the game had gone you wouldn’t bet against Hurts driving Philly right up the field and scoring, then they’ve got the shot at a 2pt attempt for the win. Taking the a very short 1st down rather than the TD lets KC control the clock, keep Hurts off the field and set up an easy kick to win it. The missed FG earlier in the game was much further out.

Amazing the way KC lose Hill and have guys like Hardman and Edwards-Hilaire out for half the season and just roll on.

It was tactically exactly the right thing to do. Buttkicker has been lights out all post season other than that one FG that hit the post. He was never going to miss. You don’t give the ball back to Hurts in that situation.

Our offence has been far better without Hill. It allowed us to bring in 3 WRs on the trade market, all of whom have contributed at clutch points in the season.

CEH is a bust but we don’t need him with Pacheco emerging as one of the best 7th round rookies I’ve ever seen. Hardman was playing superbly before his injury so that was a loss but McKinnon stepped up.

I had zero expectations for this season but I made it to KC for a game, saw a Mahomes-Kelce touchdown and we won the Super Bowl. Amazing times really.

if he hadn’t fumbled the ball and had it returned for a TD it would have been a different story. on that one play i think the whole game rested
