Off to the Lakes on Sat with a few mates and fancy giving the new Whinlatter trail a blast in the morning.

Has anyone here ridden it? What did you think? How does it compare to other trail centres?

I think it depends on your preferences really,Its pretty slippery up there at the moment. Its not a patch on the seven staines, but ok because it is different.its not quick to ride, and lacks the flow of the welsh trail centres but the decent to the visitors centre is ok (check out the you tube videos)and theres some newer stuff on the southern side thats going to be better once its bedded in.Remember theres lots of natural stuff in the area that nocks the spots off it once you know where to ride, check out kmb bike shop for routes.

    enjoy.

Thanks. Think we’ll be arriving at around 930, so hopefully plenty of time to squeeze in a natural ride as well.

It will be iced up at 9.30 mate. The norht and soouth loops are basically one big up and then one big down each. Nice views an the downs look like good fun.

It was heaving when we went also. The VC car park is pay and display, but you can park on the road just outside at the bottom of the North loop end for free.
