I’m looking at some revelations on jejames, it’s stated that they don’t come with pushloc or poploc – if this is the case will I be able to lock the forks out, or does the little blue lock out cap come with a lever so it can be hand activated?

Not enough info to say. If there’s no mention of poploc, then chances are it doesn’t have the appropriate (i.e. spring loaded) Motion Control internals, thus lockout (and compression?) can be set/adjusted on the crown 🙂

If it’s a Pushloc version you’d expect it to say, so I’d go with crown mounted. It can however be converted if you’re that fussed. You will definitely be able to lock it out though.

If there’s no remote bar lever (Pushloc/poploc) then you get a dial on top of the right leg which does EXACTLY the same function. Some people (Like me) can’t see the point of the remote lever because it’s just a faff and costs £40+ to replace when you break it.

If it’s a crown-mounted lever, it’s expensive to add a remote lever because you need spring-loaded intenals as well. If it comes with a remote lever and you break it, it costs £20 to convert it to crown-mounted by buying a the dial and releasing the internal spring loading.

    Any more questions?

No not at all – I’m not too fussed about getting the pop or pushloc, just wanted to know that if I purchase the forks I’ll still have a means of locking the fork out! Cheers y’all.
