I'd seen those before -fab. Enough to justify a new frame to put them on 🙂

Ive run a 26" wheel in some O-O 29er carbon forks on a 456 - the A-C of 470mm is actually less than the 510mm that Revs at 130mm give you.

Is that 510mm including sag on the revelation measurement?

speaking of which...

just been thinking about 29er rigid fork A-C measurements.

Ive read elsewhere that:

440mm+/- - non-corrected. "standard" 29"er.
465-470mm+/-, +/-42mm offset - "standard" 80mm corrected
480-485mm+/-, +/-42mm offset - 100mm corrected

From measurements in my shed, an
On-One 29er fork is 470mm, a
White Brothers (so same as SSC, eXotic etc) is 465mm

from online
Viscious steel is 470mm
Salsa steel is 468mm

by taking shabby estimate measurements from that pic of the niner and extrapolating I reckon that's got quite a short A-C, something like 440-450mm (yes my measurements could be way out, but maybe someone else would like to have a go?)

Ive just had a first ride the Ti29 without the USE Sub29erratehr with the OO rigid forks and it s a much better feel and ride and I loved it. The Sub has an A-C of about 495/500mm (and there's virtually no sag due to the design), so would that 25-30mm be enough to upset the handling or is it psychosomatic? (Or... maybe the O-O fork offset?)

rich - 510mm came from bike radar review so assume its un-sagged?

I was looking at those yesterday on Cyclingnews. Very very smart. Niner only do 29er bikes so doubt that they will do a 26er version though as noted above lengths may well be in the ball park to use on something like a 456. Look even better on that actual bike.

Oh to have a job!

Stoner - almost certainly be 'unsagged' - as sag is quite a variable dependant on rider weight/air pressure.

Does look sweet those forks mind.

I've got an orange Air-9, but I'm harking back to the old days of my Rockhopper in grabber green, looks like I'm a hitting the credit card when they hit the shops.

Drool.
