IF you recall, i bought Mrs Weeksy a Yamaha R1 recently…. After a deep and meaningful chat it transpires she didn’t want it and doesn’t like it..

So it’s been sold and replaced by a ZX6R

First outing in 6-7 weeks at Rockingham. I think she’s a little more excited about the day now 🙂

    that’s better.

you should’ve learnt by now which colour is fastest.

    (and I don’t mean the paintwork….)

    Stay upright eh!

Think you two are quite bonkers TBH, but it’s great to hear your stories and excitement..

Is there ever a bike that’s “too powerful” ?

I used to have a zzr1100, fell off it the day after my test.

It went like the clappers, but when i fell off i was going round a corner at 45-50mph.

Ive taken the same corner at a comfortable 60 in a shit ford orion with remould tyres.

Its not the bike that matters, its the rider.

    Bikebouy,

Apparently yes… It was the Yamaha R1 i bought. She almost high-sided it at Pembrey on her first outing on it, rear wheel spun up exiting the hairpin. She then lost confidence in it/herself and it became an ever decreasing circle of doom, where she ended up not really wanting to book any trackdays at all this year.

So the step back down to a 600 was planned, then unplanned as a deal came up on this at the last minute 🙂 So she still got the 600, but this is 2 years newer than we’d planned and a later generation of forks/geometry etc.

I’ve still got the KTM 690 for myself, although it was replaced last month, by a new 690 🙂 with traction control etc 🙂
