Been casting around for a while looking for a narrow 29er tyre (max width 44mm) but can’t seem to find much. I’ve looked at wider cross tyres but I’m after a fairly aggressive tread.

Any recommendations backed up by known/actual widths as i’m reluctant to buy anything and find out that it’s too wide or too narrow?

    Thanks

Thanks for that, but a touch narrow.
Found some nice Bontrager 29er tyres in 1.8″. They’re just what I was after and cheap too at £16 each from JEJames at the mo.

I’ve got a pair of those 1.8 Bontis – think I paid £13 for the pair from Chevin or somewhere. They’re pretty good.

There are some Panaracers which seem to be the most knobbly at that sort of width. Or you could go Dugast Rhino XL in a 45 if you really want to get crazy…
