LOL Rat, about 6 or 7 transit vans towing caravans passed me yesterday on the Deeside road. Drivers wearing wife beater vests and a couple of low loaders with ‘tarmacing’ equipment.

    A better 3G signal.

I miss having a breadmaker in my workshop actually – start it up on arrival. Work with the smell of baking bread and then its ready for lunch. Slice with a panel saw.

Unfortunately an incident with some boards falling over sort of parallelagrammed it and I’ve never gotten around to replacing it.

Moving into a new workshop next week that has a 150 year old forge. Wondering how well it might double as a pizza oven.

Luckily for me I’ve got both of these at work and am allowed to do ‘foreigners’ from time to time…
Bridgeport XR with 5th Axis (5 of them)
Mazak SQT200 with driven tooling 🙂

It’s one advantage of being in engineering. I tend to do most of my bike stuff at work as we’ve got all the tools and plenty of space to do it in. Oh, and I get paid while I’m doing it as the machines are ‘running’

I’m looking forward to having a workshop but when I do (July), I want a nice big press in there. I’ll be fixing a number of BB’s and wheels once I do.

When i was in engineering i too made plenty of ‘homers’

Trouble is now that i dont have access to mill or lathe i still have plenty of stuff i want to make.

My next acquisitions will be Router and Router table….

But the list is pretty endless, I suspect I’ll still be buying stuff for years to ‘complete’ the workshop…..
