that for me looks too fatty and heavy for breakfast, i want something light at 5.30! and a couple of eggs aren’t going to set me up for the day

I’ll have a look at it, but i don’t like the lack of fruit either, I love my fruit!

How about something midway between the two?

My first change of diet included alot of fruit and I lost at least 500g per week, and kept it off.

What did people have for breakfast before the cereal manufacturers, milk marketing board and the sugar people convinced them what to have?

    I want to say eggs.

I’m eating MIke/Ton’s baked bean recipe this morning. On toast but it’s all good.

It’s lovely BTW, I’ve added pancetta.

Am I right in thinking, Cornflakes were invented to prevent masturbation?

This week’s Ton’s Beans are a mix of haricot and pinto. No chilli this time, but extra thyme, and I didn’t add chorizo. Still tasty.

iDave diet/4hr body is primarily for fat people who want to lose weight. Any health benefits are purely coincidental.

That’s not how I read it. It’s also for people who aren’t fat, but don’t want to get fat. Or for naturally skinny people who don’t want to become diabetic.

I don’t get diet plans where it tells you to go mental one day a week; why?

Always makes me think of this:

Mmmm, pork cylinders and bon-bon-bons, yummy!

I’m reading Four Hour Body at the moment, and there’s a lot in there about the binge day and why it helps weight loss.

    Thoroughly recommend it.

I’m reading Four Hour Body at the moment,

Some of the quotes on the cover have put me off…

Just ordered a copy of The Feed Zone though… I reckon it’s iDave for athletes.

I bought the 4hour body for my kindle after seeing it recommended on here so many times. Think the hard copy would be better as the kindle doesn’t really lend itself to dipping in and out of chapters easily and comparing sections etc. I read a bit and wasn’t that impressed so it hasn’t been touched since.

No imolly or isolo on this thread?!

How does the binge day help??

I always feel gutted the day afterwards when I stand on the scales

Paradoxically, dramatically spiking caloric intake in this way once per week increases fat-loss by ensuring that your metabolic rate (thyroid function and conversion of T4 to T3, etc.) doesn’t downshift from extended caloric restriction.

Another couple of lbs gone in the past week or so. Gone from 14 st 7lbs to 12 st 4lbs since April.

Can someone talk me through the red wine thing. I thought any booze was a no no when it comes to weight loss, but vin rouge seems to be acceptable on the iDave. Why is that?

    BoardinBob
    Full Member

It’s never explained in the 4 hour body, he just says he was able to drink it and it didn’t interfere with fat loss.

Plus red wine is awesomely good for you (in moderation)

Aaaah the old mederation chestnut. That’s could be a problem,
once the vin rouge starts to flow it’s quite hard to stop!
