I wondered what to do with my top and gloves damaged when I came off at CwnCarn so popped them down to my local framers to get them mounted, rather than just binning them.

I am pleased with the outcome, it's also on the wall now.....

Cwncarn in October 2008,
Ribs painful for 6 weeks and left hand just over 2 months to be fully ok, but to my knowledge nowt broken (well only because I didn't go to A&E)
Fully ok now thanks
First time I wore the shirt and the Remedy Carbon that was on my head which I had replaced under the replacement scheme but it did it's job 100% worth every penny that helmet.

strange place to fall off, in the slow mo it looks like you keep looking downwards before it happens? any idea why you went down?

On the very end of the DH course in CC there is the bridge then a left hand berm, so I did that and was exiting the berm at a fair old pace.

At the time I had no idea but after a few rides in Scotland I realised that the handlebar grips do not have much well grip so your hands bounce of the bars on the rough stuff.

My conclusion, that I either hit a stone/rock or the rough ground made my hands leave the bars and then I did a forward roll 2.5 times before I stopped 🙂 Or I was thinking wow I made it on the hardtail and wasn't concentrating.

I have the same grips on my Big-T but suspect the full suspension on that negates the issues, but the Alpine which I was on isn't, I have changed the grips for something more grippy. But suspect that the I'll just do the DH course on the Big-T in the future. 🙂
